{Paper Smooches} Love Ya + Release Party TONIGHT!

Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It's also the big release night, which means all of the new stamps and dies you see on this card will be available for purchase at midnight tonight EST!!! If you want to start making your wish list, you can see the full reveal of the January stamps HERE and the dies HERE. ;)

I made a winter friendship/love/Valentine's card using the new Scripty Sayings stamp set on the hill which was created using the Ovals 1 Dies. I also created a couple using the Snowman Dies. Oh my goodness, are these ever fun and cute to play with! You will have a blast customizing and layering them. The frame was created using the Pinked Circles Dies.

Reminder: The January/CHA 2014 Release Party will take place on the Splitcoast Forum tonight from 10:00 p.m. EST to midnight. Since we didn't have a release party last month, this one is going to be extra special. Bring your champagne and party with us!!

{Paper Smooches} January 2014/CHA Sneak Peeks + Release Party Reminder

Due to last week's ice storm and loss of power, I wasn't able to participate in the Paper Smooches Design Team Blog Hop on Thursday but this is the project I would've shared had I been able to blog. :)

My card features the Botanicals 2 stamp set, Frame 1 Die and Documented Dies. I also used the Flag Tags Dies. First, I dry embossed the card base across the centre a woodgrain embossing folder. Then I die cut a couple of flags using the medium Flag Tags Dies. Next, I die cut the Frame 1 Die, which coordinates with Duo Die 1, and stamped the branch from Botanicals 2 in gorgeous Memento Luxe Olive Grove ink. Then I die cut 'remember' across the frame using the Documented Dies. Visually, the word divides the frame in thirds. After backing the frame with black, I adhered the flags flat on the card base and the frame with foam tape, followed by enamel dots that coordinate with the patterned paper.

Reminder: The January/CHA 2014 Release Party will take place on the Splitcoast Forum this Tuesday, December 31st from 10:00 p.m. EST to midnight. Since we didn't have a release party last month, this one is going to be extra special. Bring your champagne and party with us!!

{Paper Smooches} Love Is All You Need

Kim shared this bookmark in the Paper Smooches Newsletter earlier this week. It's my last project from the December release and features the Bookmarks Die, Hearts Dies and Love Struck stamp set. I also used the Crystal Clear stamp set, Crystal Clear 1 and Crystal Clear 2 dies. A little while back, I asked Kim to create the perfect bookmark die and she did. I love the size, the curves and over-the-page extras. It's absolute perfection and makes me so happy. Thank you, Kim!

I die cut the main Bookmark Die twice with 120 lb cardstock to ensure long-lasting sturdiness. Then I stamped and die cut the jar using Crystal Clear and Crystal Clear 2 on the front panel. I double-stamped and second generation stamped the arrows from Love Struck on the front and back panels. I stamped the sentiment, also from Love Struck, in two colours. Finally, I die cut Hearts Dies from glitter cardstock and trapped them between the two Bookmark layers with a piece of acetate. For the final touches, I added some May Arts ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
