{Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge} Anything Goes with Buttons

Welcome to the last Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge in March! This week's challenge is Anything Goes with Buttons which means you need to use at least one button of some kind on your card. The design team is featuring Crafter's Companion products. You don't have to use it but we'd love to see some if you have it. A big thank you to Crafter's Companion for sending products to the design team for this challenge!

My card features the Crafter's Companion Embossalicious Lattice 6x6 folder which I splattered with several Studio Calico mists. I also used Spectrum Noir Turquoises to colour in the pearls that act as fillers between the button/enamel dot grass for my little scene which was created with BasicGrey Fresh Cut Die Cuts & Transparencies, and framed with a foil frame cut from Paper Smooches Chains dies.

This week's prizes:

Jennifer and Laurel are giving away additional prizes so be sure to comment on their blogs.

Crafter's Companion is offering an additional prize as well. All you need to do is link up to our challenge!

One winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 gift voucher to the awesome Simon Says Stamp Store!

It could be you!

I hope you will play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday. :)

{Paper Smooches} Toot Toot, Beep Beep

Kim is sharing this card on the Paper Smooches Blog today. It features the Scooters Icons (coordinates with Spiffy Scooters stamp set) and Quotables dies from the March/April release. I used a Quotables die to create the road and heat embossed the sentiment on that panel.

I thought it would be ultra cute for the hamster from Party Posse (Posse Icons) to give the cat/Westie from Nine Lives (Nine Lives dies) a ride on his scooter. Look how much fun they're having! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Mama Elephant} Designer Series: On Point Borders + Video!

Today's my feature day on the Mama Elephant Blog and I'm showcasing the On Point Borders stamp set. When I use border stamps, I typically use them as accents and this is exactly what I've done here. I used it to stamp a background pattern on to patterned paper from Monte Paper Mill's Hello Darling 6x6 paper pad.

Then I cut the larger of the Femme Frames dies from crepe paper, scrunching it in the centre and adhering it to the stamped background. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Make a Wish directly on to a panel cut from the smaller of the Femme Frames dies.

After adhering the top panel to the crepe paper layer, I die cut some woodgrain stars using the Confetti die. I added a foil cardstock layer behind those stars to create a shiny shadow. See how it all came together here:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
